Mandy is a Founding Senior Attorney specializing in representing emerging companies across a wide range of market sectors. Her practice spans the startup lifecycle—from formation, through day-to-day operations and corporate governance matters, to angel and venture capital financings (including SAFEs, convertible notes, and equity), as well as mergers and acquisitions. She also represents family offices and angel investors in emerging company investments and acquisitions.

Mandy provides strategic, pragmatic and approachable legal counsel to entrepreneurs navigating the legal and business challenges of launching, growing, and scaling their ventures. She has successfully led and closed numerous transactions for companies funded by top-tier investors, such as Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, Tiger Global, Lightspeed, Bessemer, Y Combinator, and others.

As an Expert on Call for the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance, Mandy provides mentorship and legal guidance to Georgetown’s student and alumni entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining Optimal’s founding team, Mandy was an attorney at Egan Nelson LLP, and previously an associate at Cooley LLP in Silicon Valley, where she advised startups, late-stage private companies, public companies and venture capital investors. Prior to earning her law degree, Mandy worked as a paralegal clerk at Baker Botts, LLP.
