Jay is a corporate and securities Partner representing emerging companies in a variety of complex transactional matters. Jay has significant experience in venture capital and angel equity and convertible debt financings, private and public securities offerings, entity formations, mergers & acquisitions, general corporate counseling, and SEC reporting and disclosure.

Before joining Optimal, Jay was an associate in the Austin office of DLA Piper LLP (US), where he focused his practice on emerging companies and their investors in the technology space, ranging from U.S. and international startup counseling to venture financings to initial public offerings, public company governance and SEC compliance, and mergers & acquisitions. He has represented companies and investors in the software-as-a-service, life sciences, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, medical technology and related sectors
